Are you tired of your old bathroom look? Do you think it looks boring and tedious? We have some interesting idea for you – try embellishing your bathroom with embroidered and knitted accessories! If you have a small bathroom, it may be difficult to design it to be both ravishing and functional. Every element in your bathroom needs to have a purpose and to be functional in some way in order to create that perfect bathing paradise. People often overlook their bathroom when they are decorating, because they think that decoration of this space is not needed or not functional. This isn’t true – you can easily give your bathroom fresh new look with little money using knitted accessories you can actually knit yourself.
Before we talk about these embroidered and knitted accessories, you should also think about adding a few other bathroom accessories like new shower curtains because these little things can greatly improve your bathroom’s look. You know they say that beauty is in the details. Of course, you need to harmonize your accessories according to your paint. Adding fresh coat of paint is also desirable. Choose soft or pastel colors in combination with bold and rich accents. There are actually no rules, but you should be careful not to overstate it. Experimenting is more desirable with smaller bathrooms, especially if you’re interested in decorative stripes and stencil, this can make an illusion that you have bigger or higher bathroom.
If you’re low on your budget, try changing some fixtures in your bathroom. Combine your accessories with new towel bars, soap dishes and robe hooks. If they’re rusty and outdated your bathroom won’t reach its full glow. You should also consider changing these fixtures because your clean bathroom could look like a dirty one. Go decorating and you can get great bathroom ideas in the process. One of my ideas were to frame my mirror in another glass frame (the frame is made of shuttered glass) and decorated it with something of my personal style. I love dry flowers, so I combined knitted materials with some dry flowers (embedded in the glass frame) and some candles on the side. This gave my bathroom a modern expressionistic look, but with rustic tones. Play with everything in order to find something right just for you.
When you go to the bathroom store to get new furniture and accessories, always try finding the one with that can pull a double duty, in order to have more storage. For example, buy an étagère to hold your decorative elements and small items. Decorate your tray with soaps dressed in soap sweaters or cute soap sachet. You can even get a vintage apothecary jars to fill them with soaps or bath salt. Add little embroidered coasters under a vase or candles to give your bathroom a nice unusual touch. You can even consider some wall art or a flower plant to complete your new look. All what is left is to fill up your bathtub with hot water and shiny bubbles and enjoy your bath in your renewed bathroom.
Remember, even the smallest details make big differences in your design!
